Project title: Support for pedagogical staff in InBáz 2018

Project duration: 1 January – 31 December 2018

Goals

The main goal of the project is to support pedagogical staff working in a heterogeneous team in schools and the inclusion of pupils with different mother tongues (OMJ) through the following sub-objectives:

B / Creation of instructional videos and methodological materials

C / Methodical and teaching materials for intercultural work

2 / Seminars for teachers working with children / OMJ pupils

1 / Creation of teaching and methodical materials

A / Educational and teaching methodological materials – Boxes of stories

As part of the activity, another 16 sets of methodological materials will be added and completed to the already processed countries (Belarus, Egypt, Georgia, India, Cameroon, Cuba, Mongolia, Germany, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Serbia, Syria, Ukraine, Vietnam and the Czech Republic). These will be enriched with other games and tips for working with children and students:

 

  • Worksheets
  • Refills
  • Tips for working with the language

Another 8 complete sets of methodological materials for these countries will be created and graphically processed (eg Bulgaria, China, Hungary, Romania, Greece, Uzbekistan and others).

The activity, including the preparation of methodological materials, will be provided by the project manager, methodologists and intercultural work specialist together with a professional guarantor, graphic designer, evaluator and financial and administrative manager.

2 / Seminars for teachers working with OMJ students

Seminar form

The seminars will be implemented in two ways:

– For the teaching staff of a given kindergarten / primary school: tailor-made workshops according to the specific difficulties faced by the school or individual teachers

– Open seminars: thematically focused workshops to which teachers from different kindergartens / primary schools will apply

The type of seminar will be chosen according to the current demand of the target group.

Time allowance for 1 seminar: 18 hours

Number of participants: 12-15 pedagogical staff at 1 seminar

 

 

Accreditation

The seminar will be accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (accreditation of the educational program at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports will be prepared within the ongoing ESF project financed from OP Prague Pole of Growth (which InBáze, z.s. will implement from 1 November 2017).

Seminar topics

The accredited educational program will include the following topics:

– developing intercultural communication skills and sensitivity and their use in teaching;

– specifics of work with children / pupils and families with OMJ (good practice, integration of pupils into the team and the educational process, specifics of teaching Czech for foreigners)

– how to work with prejudices and xenophobia in a group of children and the use of these skills in teaching

– presentation of support services for pedagogical staff working with children with OMJ (NGOs, social services)

Outputs

A total of 2 seminars in the range of 2 x 18 hours (6 days after 6 hours) = 36 hours

In total, min. 24 teachers

Teachers will receive a “Methodology for teachers”, which is developed within the ESF projects (financed from the OP Prague – Pole of Growth), which are implemented during the years 2016 – 2019.
