Project title: Multicultural educational and teaching programs for children, pupils and students: Storyboards – story sharing
Project duration: 1 January – 31 December 2018
The main goal is to acquaint children and pupils, but also teachers, with the cultures of the countries where migrants living in the Czech Republic come from, to strengthen respect and understanding and to reduce prejudices. The project will contribute to increasing the intercultural sensitivity of children and pupils and is aimed at combating xenophobia, racial, ethnic and religious intolerance and racism, and promoting inclusion in schools.
Preschool children in kindergartens, primary and secondary school pupils, high school students in Prague. T
The project itself responds to the need to strengthen mutual understanding and respect for diversity and the related prevention of risky behavior such as extremism, racism, xenophobia and bullying. Meeting the target group outside the school environment at an intercultural club for children and youth, on weekend stays and suburban camps will lead to mutual knowledge and gaining new stimuli for mutual rapprochement in a non-violent and activating form.
The project is based on many years of InBáze experience with working with the target group of children aged 6-18 and will include:
- Saturday fairy-tale workshops of 8 countries for children and parents realized in cooperation with the Municipal Library in Prague for a total of 80 children
- creation of 8 new methodological materials (bilingual version of the fairy tale, information about the country, artistic elaboration of the workshop, tips, games) and completion of 16 methodological materials (interactive games, tips for activities)
- implementation of 21 multicultural educational programs in cooperation with Prague kindergartens, primary schools, high schools for a total of 378 children, pupils and students

Activity 2. Multicultural educational program for pupils and students: Boxes of stories II: Tutorials with telling personal stories of migrants
Content: This educational program is based on the personal story of a lecturer – a migrant. He will present to the children his story and country of origin, the circumstances that led him to leave the country and other circumstances of migration, using means close to him.
