We support people with migration experience
InBáze z.s. is a nonprofit organization in Prague that helps individuals and families with migration experiences find a new home in the Czech Republic.
We support foreigners in making new friends, finding employment or education, and getting involved in community life.
Our vision is to create a safe and open space where not only foreigners, but also Czechs interested in the lives of people from different nationalities and cultures, can come for support and help.
Our goal is to provide free support to migrants living in Prague, regardless of their residence status or origin, in dealing with various life situations. By appointment, we offer social and legal advice provided by qualified professionals with practical experience.
Social workers focus on professional social counseling, advice for families with children, as well as field social work in Prague. Lawyers specialize in residence law.
In the field of counseling, we offer support to parents in addressing their family’s current needs and problems. We help with school attendance (finding schools, communicating with the school, arranging interpretation, tutoring, etc.) and with organizing leisure activities for children (introducing them to extracurricular options and institutions, finding suitable clubs based on the child’s interests and talents, and helping with funding).
We regularly offer Czech courses for different levels in Prague and five other regions. We are also open to new locations based on interest.
Classes are held in groups of up to 15 people, which allows for an individual approach to each participant. Courses are taught by experienced instructors who understand the language needs of foreigners.
In lessons, we focus not only on grammar but also on practical communication skills for everyday life. Participants develop their language skills in a safe environment and have the opportunity to share their experiences with others. Our goal is to help them feel more confident in Czech and integrate better into society.
We offer individual therapy sessions in a safe, confidential, and respectful environment, where you can openly talk about what’s bothering you. Whether it’s personal, relationship, work, or adjustment issues, we can help.
If you’re not sure whether counseling is right for you, don’t hesitate to contact us – together we’ll find the type of support that works best for you.
Do you want your child to find enjoyment, learn effectively, and feel confident in a school environment in the Czech Republic? Are you running into obstacles — a language barrier, a new education system, adjustment issues, or school requirements? Would you like to better understand how to support your child at home, at school, and in a new community?
Do you know someone who could use this kind of help?
We offer coaching with an intercultural approach for families. We provide individual support for parents and children who want to better navigate the school environment in the Czech Republic.
We offer interpreting and accompaniment services to schools, offices, doctors, or other important meetings.
Our intercultural staff speak not only Czech, but also English, Ukrainian, Russian, Spanish, and if needed, we can provide interpreting into other languages as well.
We try to build a bridge between the client and the institution so that communication is clear, respectful of differences, and free of unnecessary stress. We provide interpreting sensitively and discreetly, taking into account the needs of the clients and the context of the meeting.
Are you looking for ways to get involved in your community? Want to meet new friends among migrants, or maybe find Czech friends instead?
At InBáze, we organize seminars, debates, and workshops on various topics. Our activities connect education, personal growth, and community life.
We also give space to your ideas – you can get involved not just as a participant, but as an active co-creator. We believe that sharing experiences with each other is key to understanding and building a stronger community.
We offer a safe environment, meaningful ways to spend free time, and create a friendly space for children and youth from different cultural backgrounds to meet each other. Our activities support the development of social skills, creativity, and self-confidence, and contribute to building an open and respectful environment.
Here, children can make new friends, experience the joy of cooperation and sharing, and feel accepted just as they are.
The program is conducted in Czech, but fluency is not a requirement – what matters is the willingness to participate. The meetings take place regularly every week and are open to everyone. Our goal is for every participant to feel part of the community and to have the chance to develop further in a safe and inspiring environment.
At InBáze, we also think of those who find themselves in difficult life situations. Once a month, we provide food assistance and, depending on current possibilities, also material support.
Thanks to the food and material aid meant for the poorest people, and thanks to cooperation with Food Banks and private donors through the Food Collection initiative, we can regularly distribute basic food and hygiene supplies to those who need them the most right now. The target group for this assistance is migrants living in the Prague area.
In addition, we regularly organize collections. Thanks to the solidarity of the public, we manage to effectively support families with children, seniors, and individuals who are starting a new life in the Czech Republic. We target the collections based on the current needs of our clients.
